Gleb Shulpyakov is a Russian poet, essayist, novelist and translator of the poetry of Ted Hughes, Robert Hass and W. H. Auden. He is the author of A Fireproof Box (Canarium, 2011) and Letters to Yakub (Canarium, 2014), both translated into English by Christopher Mattison.

Christopher Mattison has translated and edited numerous works from Russian and Chinese to English including Dmitrii Prigov’s 50 Drops of Blood in an Absorbent Medium (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2004) and Bei Dao’s collection of essays Midnight’s Gate (New Directions, 2005). Mattison directs the Sustainability of Memory and Artifacts (SOMA) Project at City University of Hong Kong.
