Searching out into the depths
I discover a fish,
which, flailing into
the new and suffocating air,
disturbs this calm
where we have set our vessel—
the course we kept,
coming smoothly with each new moment,
without the pollution of instruments
or inspection, maintained
by a logic of touch and clean
of the piercing and the stultifying word
(like a mirrored stone buried in the earth),
fragments in the light,
blows away.
